In keeping with the company’s commitment to providing absolutely authentic cruise vacations, MSC Cruises is creating a $200 million private island destination, located just 65 miles east of Miami, Florida. Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve will offer some of the finest beaches in the world, amid an array of Caribbean-inspired experiences.
MSC Cruises is working hand-in-hand with the Bahamian government and ecologists to develop a thriving marine reserve that will harmoniously coexist with the local ecosystem, restoring the island to its pristine state. The end result will be an authentic marine reserve island experience that will include more than 44 acres of beautiful sun-kissed beach – meaning more beach space per guest than any other private destination.
With the ability to dock at a pier right next to the island, MSC Cruises’ guests will be able to conveniently go straight from the ship to the island, without the need to tender back and forth. This also means late nights on shore! In addition, the island experience has been designed as an extension of the ship with great entertainment, restaurants, bars, spa services, and an exclusive family and kids area. There’s even an exclusive MSC Yacht Club area, where all the onboard Yacht Club amenities are available to members, i.e. butler service and all-inclusive drinks, etc.
